Another very tasty Agricole from Guadeloupean company Karukera.

Karukera take their name from the original, indigenousness name for the island.

As a Rhum Agricole, this spirit is made not with a sugar byproduct, but with the fermented juice of the sugar cane itself. This technique creates a grassier, more fragrant style of rum.

This rum has been aged briefly in smaller oak barrels, giving it an intense oakiness in a shorter maturation time.

Karukera Rhum Vieux serves up beautiful, aromatic grassier cane notes, offset by woodier flavours of vanilla, woodspice, bright oak and caramel.

A terrific rum, at home in stirred cocktails as it is drunk neat.
