An opulent offering from Guadeloupean producers, Karukera.

Produced from the fermented juice of the particular high sugar content canne bleue, this is a column distilled rum in the classic Agricole style.

Released in early 2017, this rum has an age of about eight years, having been matured in French oak casks.

The result is a rather sweet and delicious rum, that serves up notes of intense caramel, some light chopped herbs, ripe tropical fruits (pineapple, banana, mango), leather, dusty French bonbons, fresh pastry, apples, vanilla, allspice, grassy cane, dusty oak, some earthy cumin spice, ginger and lemon rind.

A very high quality and sophisticated rum, bottled at 48.1% ABV for extra body and warmth.
