Part of Hinch Distillery’s Craft and Casks series – which marks a partnership between the distillery and Irish Craft breweries.

This bottling has been finished in stout beer casks from the Whitewater Brewery in County Down, which is overlooked by the Mourne Mountains. The beer itself is named ‘Kreme de la Kremlin’ – a reference to Russian “Imperial” stouts, and has held the whiskey for a minimum of 12 months.

The final product is a dram that offers notes of espresso, dark chocolate, vanilla, molasses, toffee, brown sugar sweetness, dark fruits, smooth stout beer, cinnamon, oak and barrel char.

Bottled at 43% for a touch more warmth, this is a delicious Irish dram.
