A well aged Irish whiskey from Hinch, a new Irish distillery based in near the County Down town of Ballynahinch, from which it takes its name.

This whiskey is a blend of malt and grain spirit, and has been aged in American oak for nine and half years, before a six month finish in Oloroso sherry casks.

The result is a decadent, moreish dram with notes of apples, pears, plums, malt, grain sweetness, chocolate, almonds, dried fruits, red berries, vanilla, and bright apricot.

Bottled at 43% ABV for a little more body and depth, this is an exciting release from this promising young distillery.
