A style of gin that has had something of a revival after falling out of favour a little. The definitive 18th century gin, this slightly sweeter style gave rise to many of the gin cocktails we consider to be classics today, such as the Tom Collins, the Martinez and the spectacular Ramos Gin Fizz! This is a great example, botanically intense, yet floral and zesty, with prominent notes of lavender, violet and ginger. Drinkers can expect a few surprises, such as the dark chocolate on the palate and tannic tea on the finish. The floral notes in Hayman’s Old Tom Gin make it a fabulous option for cocktails such as the Aviation or the Clover Club. Highly recommended, and incredible value for money!
