Glenallachie shines in sherry casks, and this is a superb example, bottled by Signatory Vintage for their Cask Strength range.

This dram was distilled in 2009 and matured in a single first fill sherry butt for 12 years, acquiring tonnes of juicy, fruity and spicy flavours.

The spirit offers notes of prunes, dates and currants, candied ginger, brazil nuts, brown sugar, leather, fruit cake, chocolate, fiery cinnamon, malty biscuits, caramel, sherried oa and hot black pepper.

Bottled at a cask strength of 66.4% ABV, this is a seriously rich whisky.

Only 636 bottles were produced.
