An exciting expression from Glenallachie, following their relaunch after Billy Walker’s (formerly of BenRiach and GlenDronach) takeover.

This is a sumptuous 12 year old Speysider, which has been aged for 12 years in a mixture of Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso and virgin oak casks.

The result is a complex and deep dram, with notes of dried fruit, plums, heather honey, vanilla, oily nuts, toasted oak, dark chocolate, milky coffee, cornbread, and warm malt.

Bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration, this is a wonderful return from the whisky wilderness for Glenallachie.
