A high quality Mezcal from the small village of Nombre de Dios, in the state of Durango.
This expression is produced using Cenizo agave, and has been crafted under the watchful eye of Urial Simental. The agave is harvested only once it has reached full maturity, between 10 to 13 years of age. Interestingly, the agave for this bottling has been milled by hand – using axes and mallets, and cooked in a traditional stone pit over black oak.
An unaged Joven bottling, the spirit offers a pure flavour of the agave itself. Drinkers should expect notes of fresh flowers, tropical fruits, some earthy clay, a little umami, dark fruits, citrus and smoky, succulent agave.
Bottled at 45% for a little more body and power, this is an excellent, super-authentic Mezcal.
