One of the oldest bottlings from one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries. This is a beautifully crafted, small batch, long-aged whisky from Bowmore. Matured in a mixture of bourbon and sherry casks, this the perfect combination of vanilla, dried fruits, toffee and nut flavours. These notes pair perfectly with the oily, coastal house style of Bowmore’s whisky. The long maturation also adds thick, oaky flavours, whilst rounding out the spice and peat of the whisky. The whisky is bottled at 43%, giving these notes an extra boost. The final product is a stunning example of how good old Islay whisky can be: deeply complex, reassuringly peaty and bracingly coastal. Each bottle is presented in a handsome black box with gold accents. As this is a small batch release, numbers are quite limited, so Bowmore fans should move fast if they want to taste this classic Islay whisky.
