A superb, premium Calvados from Boulard, a spirits house dating back to 1825, and now in its fifth generation of family ownership.
Made using a selection of the oldest and rarest casks in the Maison Boulard reserves, this is an extraordinary Normandy apple brandy. Hard work has gone into producing this tipple, indeed, Boulard took seven years of experimenting to decide upon this recipe.
The Calvados itself serves up notes of malty tea, dark chocolate, rich baked apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, tobacco leaf, espresso, dark cherry, toffee, green apple rinds, cider acidity, slight pineapple and charred oak.
Beautiful spirit, beautifully presented – Boulard commissioned a French Master Glass-Blower to design the carafe, with the bottle taking its inspiration from the landscape of Normandy countryside. The triptych case opens up to reveal a mirrored interior, creating a handsome frame for this luxurious bottling.
