The second batch of BenRiach’s popular cask strength single malt.

BenRiach are known for their use of interesting cask combinations, and in this case they have used Oloroso, former Bourbon and virgin oak casks, creating a complex and intense dram.

This whisky delivers flavours of burnt sugar, toasted peanuts, anise, spearmint, prunes, orange juice, citrus rind, ginger, hay, malt, some slight dried fruit and sweet sherry, with a touch of hot peppery spice.

Presented at a phenomenal 60.6% ABV, this is a hot, rich, satisfying whisky. No chill filtration or colouration has been used either.

A powerful, yet incredibly tasty dram.
