“The Twelve” is a reformulation of the old Benriach 12 year old, launched in 2020 as part of a total redesign of the Benriach range.

Whilst the previous Benriach 12 was aged entirely in sherry casks, the new version has been matured in a combination of Pedro Ximenez sherry, former Bourbon and ruby port casks. This multi-cask maturation has produced a deeply flavoured and rich dram.

The final result is bottling that delivers notes of green apples, rich sweet cherries, plums, cinnamon spice, mocha, dark chocolate, raisins, candied orange rind, bright oak, vanilla, cloves and some subtle earthiness.

The dram is bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration, ensuring a thick, satisfying whisky.
