The Benriach’s range received a striking redesign in 2020.
The 10 year old is the cornerstone expression of the Benriach core line-up, and alongside a new label, it has received a slight reformulation, with Master Blender Dr Rachel Barrie saying “In the new Original Ten, a more richly flavoured, rounded malt character might be discerned”.
The whisky has been aged in Bourbon, virgin oak and sherry casks, resulting in a dram that serves up notes of creamy vanilla, subtle dried fruits, cinnamon, nutmeg, bananas, dried apricot, lemon zest, peaches, apples, pears, hay-like malt, bright oak and some buttery pastry.
A classic Speyside style whisky, packed with sweet, spicy fruitiness, and bright wood notes typical of virgin oak.
