Simply one of the most impressive whiskies we’ve ever seen from this Speyside distillery. This 35 year old whisky was first introduced to the BenRiach range in 2014.
Aged in a combination of former sherry and wine casks for three and a half decades, this is a decadent and luxurious dram.
The whisky offers up flavours of almonds, overripe banana, golden syrup, grapefruit, cherry pie, dried fruits, a little mint, old dark oak, beeswax, apricots, vanilla, dark syrupy sherry, chocolate coated raisins, cream, alongside some tropical notes of fresh mango, pineapple and peach. The finish is long and drying, with old oak, cigar smoke and cedarwood.
Bottled at 42.5% ABV, this is a creamy, satisfying dram.
Likely to be a once in a lifetime experience, this is truly a whisky of a rare quality, and one of the finest BenRiachs ever bottled.
