Another wonderful single cask expression from BenRiach distillery

This 2005 vintage forms part of the distillery’s Cask Edition series, which showcases different single cask expressions. The whisky at hand has been aged for 15 years in a single Oloroso Sherry Butt.

The end result? A deeply coloured and flavoured dram, with notes of orange peel, grassy malt, fruitcake, honey, creamy vanilla, chocolate covered hazelnuts, raisins, the faintest hint of woodsmoke, peppery heat and espresso.

Bottled at a robust 59.8% ABV, this is a powerful, full bodied whisky.

Only 580 bottles were drawn from the cask.
