Amrut have become very well known around the world for their fantastic single malt whiskies, yet this is something a little different: a marvelous rum! Very interesting indeed, this rum is a tribute to the rum producing industries of two cultures, a hemisphere apart: The West Indies (the Caribbean) and The East Indies (India). Particularly, this rum sources spirit from Barbados, Guyana & Jamaica. This rum is made from Jaggery, a traditional sort of sugar produced in India from dates, cane juice or palm sugar. On the nose this rum is rich with fresh, slightly grassy cane notes, with a deep woodspice aroma and tropical fruit, particularly pineapple and overripe banana. The palate is thick and creamy, with juicy flavours of pineapple and mango, and touch of dusty oak. The finish is sweet, long and oaky, with a touch of spice. A very different, delicious rum.
For the delicious description, unfortunately it falls short of living up to that but then thats individual. I'm sure its been crafted well and the connoisseur has spent time n effort to describe the experience. So at the end if it strikes the sweet cord on your palate and u see n feel all that the tasting notes say .. well its Jackpot. On that note.. take care .. stay safe..cheers.
