A change of pace from this magnificent Indian distillery. This whisky is made from peated barley (with a peat level of 24ppm) imported to the subcontinent from Scotland. The result is Amrut’s classic cereal-forward, buttery and sweet whisky but with an extra injection of complexity and flavour from the peat. Drinkers should expect note of toffee, toast and honey competing pleasantly with a fizzing, grassy peat. Bottled at 46%, this whisky is non chill filtered and free from any artificial colouring. A real statement of intent from this distillery. Jim Murray awarded this fantastic dram a huge 94 points!
