An excellent Irish drop from Walsh Whiskey’s Writers’ Tears series.

This bottling combines triple distilled Irish single pot still and single malt whiskey together, and ages the spirit in a combination of American oak and French oak Cognac casks created by the Legaret family at the Allary Cooperage.

The result is a fruity, complex whiskey which retains the essential character of an Irish single pot still dram. Writers' Tears Double Oak serves up notes of spiced apple, pear, bright grapes, dried fruits, thick vanilla, peach, apricot, lemon rind, dark chocolate, spicy oak and some pot pourri.

A great combination of Irish whiskey and Cognac flavours, this whiskey is bottled at 46% ABV and non chill filtered, ensuring a thick mouthfeel.
