An astonishing Spanish brandy from Torres, that pays homage to the distillery’s founder, Jaime Torres Vendrell.
This bottling makes use of some of the very oldest stock in the Torres’s reserves (which operate in solera systems), with some extra-aged Parellada wine first intended to go into the famous Torres 10 bottling. There is also a little spirit made from Folle Blanche grapes (often used in Cognac production), which dates from 1972!
The result is an incredibly rich and flavoursome brandy, with delightful, opulent flavours of dried fruits, dark oak, juicy grapes, toasted cinnamon and cloves, thick vanilla, dark chocolate, rancio, wine tannins, pressed flowers, slight coffee, cream, toffee and cedarwood.
The brandy is also beautifully presented, with its swirling bottle sure to catch the eye!
Torres Jaime I was awarded World’s Best Brandy in the 2015 World Brandy Awards.
