A premium expression from Walsh Whiskey’s The Irishman series.
Triple distilled in copper pot stills, the whiskey has been aged in American oak Bourbon barrels before a yearlong finish in Oloroso Sherry casks. This bottling is based on Walsh Whiskey’s original Founder’s Reserve series.
The final result is a lovely Irish pot still dram that offers notes of marmalade, toasted oak, delicate dried fruits, tangerine rind, soft brown sugar, leather, allspice, toasted nuts, Sherry and charred oak.
The whiskey was drawn from just 9 Sherry butts, with a limited number of only 8,000 bottles available worldwide.
Bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration, this is a medium bodied, satisfying whiskey.
