Another single farm rum produced by the Renegade Rum company as part of its pre-cask unaged range.

This rum is made using Lacalome Red sugarcane harvested in 2020, and grown in the ‘outh-facing, steep-sided, sun-baked bowl, the amphitheatre of New Bacolet’ farm.

Here ‘lush growth enjoys the deeper, rich colluvial soils below.’ This unaged rum has been distilled in pot stills and bottled at 50% ABV.

The final product is a lush, complex and slightly vegetal rum, with notes of succulent cane, ripe apples and pineapples, bittersweet citrus rind, briny sea spray, mint and some subtle earthy spice.

Terrific, complex and fascinating rum that will appeal to the purists.
