One of the very best Cognacs in its age class, this Ragnaud Sabourin VS has got to be one of the best value bottles of any spirit! Ragnaud Sabourin have been producing excellent quality Cognac since way back in 1850. They are known for remaining independent and family owned, and for their insistence on using grapes grown only in the premier cru of Grande Champagne – thought of as the finest cru in the Cognac region. Being a VS, this spirit must have been aged for at least two years in oak casks. The result is wonderfully mature yet approachable Cognac. On the nose this Cognac offers lovely floral aromas with a fresh grape and sweet wine note. The palate is dense and buttery, with classic sweet grape notes, a touch of oak, more floral flavours and a little chewy toffee. The finish is short and sweet, with woodspice lingering. Ideal as a daily drinker, or if you want to add a little more class to your Cognac cocktails!
