Previously an Italian market exclusive, this Italian single malt was like gold dust.
No longer! We’ve managed to get our hands on a few bottles of this tasty stuff.
Produced in the northern Italian alps in Puni’s distinctive cube-shaped distillery, the spirit has been matured for five years in first fill former Bourbon American white oak casks.
Puni present this whisky as “the classic” Italian single malt, and it certainly offers a traditional single malt profile, somewhat similar in style to a Speysider.
The whisky delivers flavours of vanilla, flowers, orchard fruits, some soft stone fruit, mixed spice, toffee and oak.
Bottled at 43%, but without chill filtration or colouration, this whisky may cloud slightly at cooler temperatures.
The final product is presented with the classic Italian eye for style, in a striking modern bottle and box.
Winner of a silver medal at the 2018 International Wine and Spirits Competition.
