The youngest offering from the bestselling Calvados brand in the world.
This bottling is considered the fruitiest and freshest tasting of the series, as it has been aged the least.
The Calvados begins with Père Magloire specially selected varieties of apples. The apples are made into a strong cider, following a long, natural fermentation process. After this, the cider undergoes a single distillation in a continuous, copper column still. The spirit is then aged for a minimum of 2 years in “century oak barrels”.
The result is a fresh and crisp spirit, with notes of baked apple pie, flowers, cloves, cinnamon, hay, clean green apples, musty cider, almond, vanilla, and gentle oaky tannins.
A deeply fruity and enjoyable Calvados which has won a string of awards recently – it was a finalist in the 2014 Ultimate Spirits Challenge, and picked up gold medals in the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and at the 2016 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
