A Pineau des Charentes produced by the Normandin-Mercier Cognac house.

This pineau is a “rosé” containing a combination of both two thirds freshly pressed white grape and very mature Merlot grape juice.

This is added to one third of one year old Cognac, with the entire mixture aged in an oak cask for four years.

The final product is a luscious, fruity and subtly spicy spirit.

Drinkers should expect notes of concentrated blackcurrant, blackberry and cherry, cinnamon and pepper spice, vanilla, toffee, dried grapes and warming oaky Cognac.

Enjoy this Pineau des Charentes served chilled, as an aperitif or in place of a dessert wine.
