An extra old Agricole rum from Martinique distillery La Mauny.
Named “Le Nouveau Monde” or “The New World”, this is an expression that encapsulates all that is fruitful and exotic about the Caribbean island of Martinique.
This bottling was personally created by La Mauny’s Cellar Master Daniel Baudin, and is a blend of 12 rums from four rare vintages. The vintages included are: 1979, 1988, 1999, and 2004. The rum has been carefully aged in oak casks.
The final result is a stupendous, extremely well aged Agricole, that offers up notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, toffee, cedarwood, pepper, warm oak, tobacco leaves, grilled pineapple, grassy cane, mango, overripe bananas, milk chocolate and orange rind.
Truly a rum of a rare quality, Le Nouveau Monde is presented in a beautiful decanter style bottle with a red wax closure.
