The Jim Beam Yellow Label Rye is a rye Kentucky straight rye whiskey with the lowest possible amount of rye at 51%, making it an ideal introduction to the rye whiskey category. Although the bottle bears no explicit age statement, we know it is aged for at least 4 years in new, charred, American white oak barrels. This rye whiskey is actually long-time favourite of the famous whisky writer, Jim Murray (author of the Whisky Bible).
Yellow original rye was absolutely the best. I do not like the green label taste even with the octane level increase. I have two cases of yellow 1.75 liter bottles in my basement that are at least 8 yrs old. Waiting for some very special times! Been very hard to resist.
My favorite rye..whskey Sad thay replaced it with the green label. The yellow is smoth .
I like the yellow label. Don't care for the green label. I am having a hard time finding the yellow label. Makes me very sad
Yellow label was smooth and not as harsh as others. It is great for rye drinkers and new rye drinkers as well
