A long-aged version of Jim Beam’s classic Kentucky Bourbon.
Aged for about six years in heavily charred new American oak casks, this has given the whiskey an extra depth and complexity. Jim Beam Black is made with a mash bill of 77% corn, 13% rye, and 10% malted barley.
Drinkers can expect flavours of bright caramel, charred oak, orange zest, vanilla, toffee, espresso, honey, a little rye, mint, citrus rind, cherries, cinnamon, candy apples and a little anise.
The whiskey is bottled at 43% ABV for a little extra warmth and intensity.
A cut above the standard white label, this is a good quality sipper, that also does well in Old Fashioneds.
