The second core release from the highly anticipated Isle of Raasay distillery.

A combination of peated and unpeated spirit, the whisky has been aged in an intriguing array of casks, including: first-fill rye whiskey barrels, virgin Chinkapin oak (native to Eastern and Central North America), and first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks.

The result? A reasonably smoky, deeply flavoured dram, with notes of cherries, red apples, strawberry, slightly woody peat smoke, toast, black pepper, creamy honey, malt biscuits and tannic wine.

Bottled at 46.4% ABV, this is another impressive effort from the young island distillery.
