Il Gin Del Professore is created through a collaboration between vermouth makers Federico Ricatto and Carlos Quagli and the Jerry Thomas speakeasy in Rome.

Jerry Thomas, one of the pioneers of bartending, who gave us many of the wonderful cocktails we enjoy to this day, was named “the Professor”, and as such the gin is named in his honour.

This bottling seeks to revive a lost spirit style, with Crocodile Gin quite close to the sweeter Old Tom variety. The gin includes botanicals of juniper berries, coriander, elderflower, Jamaican pepper, vanilla and citrus.

The result is a bright, citrusy gin, with a strong juniper core and floral notes of elderflower, herbaceous pine and orange blossom. A little coriander and peppery spice keeps the spirit grounded.

Bottled at 45% ABV, this gives the gin a little kick in intensity and ensures it does not get lost in any cocktail.
