The whisky turned up to 11!
Released alongside Valkyrie as part of a revamp of the Highland Park’s range, the Orkney distillery is paying homage to the importance of “amps and equalisers” in the creation of music.
Full Volume’s packaging recalls the iconic Marshall amp, which gave life to so many of the greatest songs ever made. On the side of the box there are dials which indicate the presence of Bourbon, fruit, peat and vanilla flavours.
The whisky itself was distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2017 having been aged in first-fill Bourbon casks for around 18 years. The dials on the box do not lie, this is a typical Orkney whisky, packed with fruity, peaty flavours, slight sea spray, and strong, vanilla rich Bourbon character.
Bottled at 47.2% ABV and without any colouration, this is as intense an experience as any concert!
To celebrate the release of this whisky, Highland Park worked with songwriter and music producer to create a unique piece of music:
