A big bottling of this tasty VSOP Cognac from industry giants Hennessy.
Said to have been originally created in 1817, after a request from George IV, the king of England at the time, Hennessey VSOP Privilège claims to be the first “and favourite” VSOP bottling in the world. This Cognac is a blend of 60 different eaux-de-vie, some of which have been aged in French oak for 15 years. The spirit is produced from Ugni Blanc grapes.
The mix of spirits has created a well balanced Cognac, with the older and younger component working in perfect harmony.
The final result is a succulent and flavoursome spirit which delivers notes of sweet vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, green wood, fresh grapes, old oak, toffee, treacle, toasted wood, brown sugar, chocolate and honeysuckle.
A great sipping Cognac, this also makes a good base for cocktails.
