Grosperrin N°52-22 Fins Bois Cognac (Lot N°869)
A small batch Cognac bottled by Grosperrin.
This bottling is a blend of lots, originally produced in the town of La Brousse. The spirit was originally made with grapes grown in the Fins Bois cru - the largest of the Cognac crus in terms of vines planted. The spirit was blended together by the original owner, who still has lots of Cognac produced by his father and grandfather (the owner himself was born in 1952 – giving a sense of the age of the spirit, and depths of his reserves).
This Cognac brings notes of redcurrants, cherries, vanilla, dark oak, leather, liquorice, cedar, pepper, pine cones, toffee, stem ginger, dark chocolate and dried grapes.
An extremely complex and decadent Cognac, with a beguiling combination of fruit, spice and savoury flavours.
