A Grosperrin single lot Cognac of a rare quality.
This is an extremely small lot, of just two casks, and was originally distilled by a very famous Cognac house in Jarnac. The Cognac has been produced using grapes grown exclusively in the Fins Bois cru. The distinguished Cognac house sold the lot to Grosperrin through a broker in 2019, making this bottling one of few Grosperrin Cognacs to have been produced and sold by a major distiller.
Extremely old, this spirit has had plenty of time to develop deep, complex flavours. Drinkers should expect notes of pineapple, bananas and mango, joined by some chalky earthy, balsamic, strawberries, old damp wood, red wine, flowers, vanilla, toffee, dark chocolate, oily nuts and waxy citrus rind.
The spirit is full bodied, at 50.8% ABV. A remarkable Cognac in every regard.
