Few brandy releases have been as storied as our previous Grosperrin releases. While few great stories truly demand a sequel, it’s clear that the members of Aficionados Group cried out for more.
Aficionados x Fine Drams Grosperrin ’85 is an exceptional follow up, a Tenareze Armagnac. Produced in 1985, this release yielded 129 liters from Cask #C/D6, and is bottled at 54% ABV.
The nose presents with notes of apricot jam, tobacco, white grapes, honey and heavy vanilla. Palate is rich, heavy and packed with sweet tannins, dulce de leche, tobacco and a hint of citrus and orange peel, apricot preserve and toffee. Finish is elegant, long and oily with baking spice, honey, apricot and a final, oaky, goodbye.
Limited to just 184 bottles, this release features the telltale custom artwork of previous Aficionados x Fine Drams release.
