A triple cask single malt whisky from the Glenturret distillery - which stakes a claim to be Scotland’s oldest working distillery.
The 2022 release of this dram received 99 points and was judged as the world’s top single malt whisky at the 2023 International Wine and Spirits Competition - so, a tough act to follow. The 2023 release succeeds.
This is a wonderful whisky, which has been aged in a combination of American oak, European oak and Sherry casks.
The end product is a rich and complex dram, offering notes of fresh green apples, vanilla, raisins, prunes, toffee, lemon rind, cut oak, ginger, pears, grassy malt, fudgy milk chocolate, pineapple and mangoes.
A lovely balance between all three cask profiles, and Glenturret’s naturally fruity spirit.
