A beautiful Cask Strength, small batch dram from the Glenrothes distillery, bottled by Signatory Vintage.

This 1996 vintage has matured for a full quarter-century in a pair of hogsheads, until it was bottled in 2021 with an ABV of 50.9%.

The final product is a sweet, richly fruity whisky, with notes of honey, toasted nuts, dried fruits, candied citrus rind, stem ginger, buttery toast, caramel, vanilla, creamy oak and milk chocolate.

A really impressive whisky, in the sweet, vanilla-rich digestif style.
