Despite this whisky’s mighty flavours, and very classic appearance, this is a relatively recent addition the Glengoyne line, appearing at the beginning of 2014. Bottled at the higher strength of 48% ABV, this highland malt really appeals to the fans of sherried whisky, with huge figs, dried fruit and oranges flavours. This expression picked up two awards in 2014- a silver from the International Spirits Challenge in the fiercely competitive “Over 21 Year Old” category, and a “Silver Outstanding” in the International Wine and Spirit competition. The bottle also sports an unusual and smart shoe-box style package.
