Glen Grant might be seen somewhat as the elder statesman of the Scotch world, as there are so many ancient casks being bottled. Yet, this does not mean that younger Glen Grant’s are without quality, indeed, they offer a wonderful aperitif style not encountered enough in whisky. For this reason, younger Glen Grant’s are particularly popular in Italy, where they mimic the zesty freshness of the narrative Grappa spirit. This is an excellent example of the style, with a clean maltiness and marvellous balance of hay and honeyed toffee. Due to Glen Grant’s tall pot stills, there are some tasty floral flavours on show in this entry level whisky. Great value for money, and perfect for a daily drinker.
