Glen Grant is the venerable elder statesman of the Scotch industry, with plentiful ancient casks available. That said, at younger ages it becomes something entirely different, yet equally delicious! For many years, the 10 year old was the only distillery bottling regularly available for purchase, so this 12 year old edition marks a welcome expansion by the distillery. Bottled at 43% ABV, this whisky from the Rothes distillery is a classic speyside character. The mouthfeel is light and buttery, whilst the palate brings clean flavours of toffee, honey, hay and sweet barley. A superb daily drinker, and a remainder of how good simple Speyside whisky can be.
