Another wonderful bottling from one of our very favourite rum distilleries, Nicaraguan Flor de Caña! This lovely rum has been aged in second-fill 180 litre white oak barrels. This allows the casks to impart a beautiful mellow oak flavour throughout maturation. Nicaragua is renowned for having some of the very best soil for growing sugar-cane of anywhere in the world. This is due to the volcanic activity in the region, and the hot and humid climate is also ideal for the production of cane. This is a workhorse rum that is ideal either neat or over ice, but really shines when adding a little luxury to cocktails. A fantastic, slightly dry, style of rum that we can’t get enough of.
