A very intriguing German gin, which is designed as a regional counterpoint to the more traditional Sloe Gin.
Based upon the incredibly complex Saar Dry Gin, which uses over 30 botanicals including sloe, thyme, rose hip and juniper. The gin is named for the Saar region of Germany; from which it comes. This gin also combined with a semi-sweet Riesling wine, giving it a lovely sweetness, creamy body and fruitiness.
This liqueur-like offering dials up the fruitiness further, by adding freshly picked Quince, giving an orchard fruit flavour to the gin.
The result is a bright, sweet, fruity and drinkable gin, with a great complexity and depth of flavour. The gin has a light golden colour, which is very pleasing to the eye when mixed with tonic.
A gin with a really unique flavour profile, we imagine budding mixologists cannot wait to get their hands on this.
