First added to the Deanston range in 2015, this 18 year old offers a more mature expression of the Highlander’s spirit.
Deanston is based in a former woollen mill, and was only established in the 1960s. It has recently developed an excellent reputation for the quality of its single malt spirit.
This particular bottling has been aged for 18 years in former Bourbon barrels.
The final result is a soft and supple dram, with rich notes of lemon rind, vanilla, honeysuckle, toasty oak, toffee, candied ginger, cinnamon, gentle clove and orange juice, baked apples and some malted bread.
Easy drinking, yet mature, this whisky has a little more body with a proof of 46.3% ABV and no chill filtration.
