Originally a Travel Retail exclusive, this Deanston has enjoyed a red wine cask finish.

Aged for ten years, the spirit has been finished in high quality wine casks from the famous Bordeaux region of France.

The fruitiness of the wine lends complex flavours which perfectly complement the Highland distillery’s somewhat waxy and spicy spirit.

The final result is a well balanced dram that delivers notes of drying wine, red grapes, cherries, stewed berries, plums, dark chocolate, crunchy malt, apples, beeswax, clove, orange rind, bright oak, toffee and cream.

Deanston Red Wine Cask has been bottled free from chill filtration or colouration, and at a warming proof of 46.3%.

An impressive whisky that sits pleasingly in the dry-but-fruity sweet spot.

Around 6,000 bottles were produced worldwide.
