A lovely gift pack from Connemara, an unusual whiskey in that it is a peated Irish single malt!

Created at the Cooley distillery in County Louth (though distillation has recently returned to the Kilbeggan site, one of the oldest distilleries in the world), Connemara is double distilled in the Scotch style, and peated, producing a characterful and flavoursome whiskey.

The Distillers Edition has been finished for a period in former Oloroso sherry casks, following an initial maturation in Bourbon barrels, creating a more complex spirit.

The final product delivers notes of light, floral peat, pine, barley sugar, apples, pears, dried fruit, sherry, old oak, vanilla, a little smoked pork, grass, cream and peppery spice.

Bottled at 43% ABV for a touch more power, this dram is a step up from the standard Connemara bottling.

This bottling comes in a handsome book-shaped case, with two branded, tapered glasses – perfect for a sharing a dram with a friend!
