An older expression of Connemara’s interesting peated Irish whiskey.

Produced at the Cooley distillery as part of the Kilbeggan brand, the 12 year old whiskey has had a little more time to mature, tempering the power of its peat smoke somewhat. The whiskey has been almost entirely aged in former Bourbon casks.

This dram serves up notes of warm peated malt, ginger, lemon rind, creamy vanilla, toffee, apples, pears, burnt oak and burning grass.

Mellower and oakier than its younger cousins, this is an impressive dram from Cooley.
