A fascinating release from Chivas Regal’s ‘Extra’ range. This bottling contains a parcel of spirit that has been finished in Tequila casks for a unique take on the brand’s iconic blended whisky.

In total, the spirit has been aged for 13 years.

The result is a dram with notes of vanilla, lime rind, caramelised agave, pineapple, malt, grain, subtle oak, grapefruit and toffee.

A really interesting experiment from Chivas Regal – this could work as a Margarita base.
