Chateau de Montifaud’s classic entry-level bottling. This is a beautiful VS grade Cognac which has been aged for a minimum of 4 years in French oak cask in the Montifaud cellar.
Chateau de Montifaud’s vineyard is located on flat and chalky land, perfect for creating the ideal level of acidity for producing high quality Cognac. All the grapes used to produce this spirit were grown in the petite champagne cru, which is ranked as one of the best in the whole Cognac region.
The spirit itself is an excellent balance between the flavours of the grape and the qualities of the cask, with fruity notes of sweet grape, stone fruit, pressed flowers and oily berries, and oaky, nutty, vanilla caramel.
Even though this is the entry to their range, this is a tremendous Cognac from Montifaud which is far better than the average VS. Once again the producer has staked their claim for being one of the finest Houses in the region.
