A cracking dry gin from the spirit’s ancestral home of the Netherlands.
Indeed, gin originally grew from the Dutch spirit of genever, which combines juniper with malt wine.
By The Dutch’s expression has been distilled at the Herman Jansen Distillery, found in Schiedam, which is said to be the home city of gin.
Botanicals of juniper berries, blood orange, lemon peel, dried laurel (bay leaf), cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, coriander feature in this gin, macerated for about 15 days prior to distillation. These botanicals are then individually distilled in a pot-still, before being blended together by the Master Distiller for perfect balance.
The result a fresh, juniper-driven gin with undertones of warming spice, garden herbs, sugared orange and forest floor.
Excellent in a Dry Martini.
