A whiskey created to remember the 125th anniversary of an extraordinary period in Bushmill’s history.
In 1890, just five years after a fire destroyed the distillery’s original buildings, the distillery sent the SS Bushmills across the Atlantic to deliver their whiskey to Philadelphia and New York City. The steamboat then travelled to the Far East to ensure that their whiskey had a truly global reach. It was this voyage that put the distillery on the map.
The whiskey itself is triple distilled, and has been matured in first-fill former Bourbon American oak casks with a number 3 char. The result is a dram packed with classic Irish flavours of grassy vanilla, malt, chocolate, cinnamon, and nutmeg, citrus, tinned peaches and honey.
A fitting tribute to the boat that established Bushmills as a global brand. This whiskey is presented in a larger 1 litre bottling.
Brilliant. Smooth, aromatic and leaves a pleasent after taste in your mouth.
